Blue flags
The coast oriolana has had this summer 8 blue flags for his beaches and two for his sports ports. It is one of the municipalities of the whole Valencian Community that hoards more blue flags. The blue flags this year have been for the beaches Punta Prima, Cala Flamenca, Cala Bosque (La Zenia), La Caleta-Cabo Roig, Cala Capitán-Cabo Roig, Aguamarina, Campoamor y Barranco Rubio. In the Community, the cities of Valencia and de Cullera have obtained six; and Alcala of Xivert, Benicàssim, Elche and Torrevieja, five.
Orihuela Costa is a coastal region situated on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante. It sits close to the border with Murcia, near La Manga and the beautiful Mar Menor. Despite its name it is actually around 20 kilometres away from the main resort of Orihuela.
Golf Courses
Orihuela-Costa is well known for having a great and excellent golf courses. You will find 4 golf courses with different characteristics. One of these golf courses is "Las Colinas Golf & Country Club", which has been selected as a finalist trophy "Best golf Spain" of the most prestigious awards from the golf industry, which are the "Annual Travel Awards 2015 "awards given in the UK. The result will be announced on November 7. Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has already won this year's award for "Leading Resort Villas of Spain" in the "World Travel Awards"

La Zenia Boulevard, located in the urbanization of La Zenia, Orihuela-Costa, is the larger commercial in the province of Alicante. Sierra Escalona Natural Park.
Within the municipality of Orihuela, near the coast, is located Sierra Escalona and Dehesa de Campoamor, which are natural areas further south in the province of Alicante and is characterized by a Mediterranean native vegetation. These two protected natural areas, covering a total of 4697.6 hectares in the towns of Orihuela, San Miguel de Salinas and Pilar de la Horadada
